Soul

For as long as I can remember, I have had a love affair with the sun. It’s
power, overwhelming size, and nurture captivates me. The sun is the only foundation of energy for living things on earth. How can something so far away supply food to plants here on earth. How can light make something grow, how can light feed the whole world. And has humanity managed to reproduce the sun here on earth using electricity. What is electricity and where does the energy used to generate it come from? How was this energy created and made accessible to humanity? A person of science can laugh at these questions and answer with something in terms of nuclear fission or fusion. But how did that come into existence? They do not know. I do not know. The point is no one knows.

Apparently, researchers that are studying energy are attempting to find a way to capture the light, in space, that the sun emits and redirect it to our earth. This new method of obtaining energy from our sun would give Earth a chance to redeem most of the light lost while beams of light are traveling through our atmosphere due to clouds and what not.

If researchers succeed, then they would have technically discovered a means of beaming energy. What comes after that? Perhaps beaming matter? A body? A human body? Then I ask myself but that can’t be right how can a human body decompose into particles, be beamed, and compose back into original form? It cannot because its soul cannot be transmitted. But this made me realize and I had a revelation.

A soul is mere energy.

Each human is different. We all have the same limbs, organs, and survival instincts but make different choices and have different personalities. Our body’s are merely shells, hollow and empty, until they are filled with energy, a force that drives them.

This made me think maybe the soul energy and the sun energy aren’t so different. Maybe they are exactly the same, so similar that they are one. Our soul energy makes us live, breathe, eat just as the sun energy does for plant life.

So, I believe that the sun beams down energy into a human baby when it is conceived and the energy grows and develops. When we die the energy returns to its source, the sun. This energy, humans have called, soul.

The energy cannot have memories because for that, a body is required, more specifically, one with a functioning brain. So when this energy reenters a human body it has no recollection of past lives.

Someone encouraged me to write this idea down as well as I can remember it after I explained it to him originally. Normally at one in the morning, I would read a book and fall asleep forgetting about the idea entirely, but I wanted to share this one. Ideas are the source of all good and all evil. I do not know anything, but I have ideas.
